- We launched
abgcmo.com, the thing we first came up with at the airport right before leaving the country.
- It took 10 days from idea to launch.
- The schedule slipped more than we expected, and we were worried about that.
- But the reaction turned out to be much bigger than we thought.
- On day one, it felt roughly half positive and half negative, which seemed like an appropriate level of response.
- Then at some point, non-tech Twitter started talking about "nuke sf," and the haters multiplied.
- Growing while making haters is not exactly beautiful.
- Still, we think it can be one way to win.
- Of course, we had no intention of ragebaiting anyone.
- We did not realize ABG culture was rooted that deeply.
- And since we are Asian ourselves, we did not expect it to get entangled with racism in that way.
- Even so, the revenue was meaningful.
- We hit $50k ARR, not accounting for annual churn lol.
- And among ourselves, we learned something simple and almost funny: when revenue comes in, runway gets longer. Wow.
- Now we are preparing for something bigger.
- Before we go back to Korea in July, we want to break orbit one more time.
- As the wins add up, our confidence is growing too.
- Let's really do this.
